Custom LED is now supplying T1-3/4 (194/168) LED Bulbs commonly used in automotive lighting. The most common uses are the marker lights next to the headlights on todays sportbikes. These Wedge LED lamps come in all colors!

NOTE: These LED lamps are NOT manufactured by Custom LED and are NOT designed to be brighter than the incandescent bulbs that they replace. The purpose of these LED lamps is to provide the pure color of your choice. Rest assured that they are the brightest single chip wedge LEDs of this size that we have tested.

Motorcycle Running Lights

I was trying to find exactly what I bought and what the advertised color was. I THOUGHT I saw these running lights advertised as 6K in color. Figured they would match my new 6k headlight perfectly. These were bright blue. More like 8k. If you want a nice blue these will be great. I did not like how it matched so I went a different route and got a good match elsewhere. Fit like OEM bulbs!

I'm looking for LED to replace the taillight BULB (12V-5W) 4SV-84347-00-00 in my 2014 Stratoliner Deluxe. Which colour would serve as license plate and brake light?

Hello Anthony, thank you for your interest in our products. White would be the correct color for a license plate light.

However, some things to note. Our LED replacement bulb projects the light from the tip of the bulb, whereas the incandescent bulb is omni-directional. Depending on the lamp housing and the way the bulb is "pointing" inside the housing, this may cause poor performance of the LED bulb as a license plate light.

Hello Derek, thank you for your interest in our products! I did a quick part number cross-reference on the Yamaha OEM parts diagrams, and it does appear that an 194 or 168 type bulb will work with the OEM bulb socket. Please double check the specifications section of the owners manual to see what bulb type is listed. These bulbs will fit 168, 194, T10, T11, T1-3/4 sockets.

My motorcycle is relying on the resistance in the incandescent bulbs. Do these LED replacements have same resistance as the incandescent they are meant to replace?

Hello, and thank you for your interest in our products! These LED bulbs are quite small, and do not have any internal load compensating resistors. LEDs in general do not act as resistors, they are semiconductors. It is not appropriate to compare the resistance of an incandescent bulb and a LED, because neither behaves as a proper resistor. The correct comparison is current draw. The motorcycle is measuring current draw for the bulb-out monitored circuits. This LED bulb draws significantly less current than the incandescent bulbs it replaces. If you need to satisfy a computer monitored circuit, you can use a resistor in parallel to draw the same current as the OEM bulb did. If it is merely a ground path for other components on your motorcycle, then you can still use a resistor in parallel. The correct size resistor depends on the wattage of the OEM lamp you are replacing. Email me at sales@customled.com with the specifics of the OEM incandescent bulb, and I can help you select a load equalizer (resistor).

Hello, and thank you for your interest in our products! The "194" size LED bulbs are not suitable for use in headlights. They are entirely the wrong size to fit, and the light output would not suffice. The correct way to shop for LED headlight bulbs is to know the bulb size and type, such as: H4, etc. Once you know the bulb type you can search for an LED version. Custom LED does not carry any LED headlight bulbs at this time.
