Blaster X integrated tail light

Easy installation. Looks great. Flasher relay is under gas tank and a little time consuming to get to . Would recommend purchasing the relay switch if you want to change the modes on it. Probably could've read more and learned that before ordering though lol

I’ve done the install without the relay thing just a straight swap out and everything works great except the brake light only comes on when using the front brake not the rear. Is this normal? I’m I missing something?

Hello Mark, thank you again for your order! What you describe would indicate that there is a problem with the foot brake switch itself. The front and rear brake switches feed into the same circuit. There is only one "brake" input to the tail light. So if the tail light is displaying the brake light properly for the front brake lever, but not the foot brake, it clearly indicates a problem with the foot brake alone.

You can confirm this by measuring voltage on the Yellow wire on our tail light. This wire should have 12V when either brake is applied with the ignition on, and 0V when not applied.

I have a 2018 Honda CBR650F and want to replace the stock blinkers. Besides the Blasted X integrated tail light what do I need for the swap? Is the turn signal Y splitter needed?

Hi Jaden, thank you for your interest in our products! We highly recommend you replace your OEM flasher relay with our ELFR-1 in order to avoid the fast blink rate which will occur if you remove any of the OEM signals. The Blaster-X Control Switch is optional if you wish to re-program the tail light or use Strobe Mode which is an emergency hazard strobe feature. The Turn Signal Y-Splitters are only needed if you wish to run TWO SETS of turn signals in the rear, such as our integrated tail light AND an additional set of auxiliary turn signals.

Does this product come with a harness for my license plate. Or if I install this will I also need to purchase an a harness for my plate ?

Hello Joshua, thank you for your interest in our products! The installation of the tail light does not interfere with the license plate light circuit. There is a separate circuit and connector specifically for the license plate light. Our tail light only connects to the tail light harness, and turn signal harness if you are using the integrated turn signal feature.

Hi I’ve got a 2018 Honda Cb650f, as its well known that the Honda original indicators are garbage, I would like to purchase from you the Blaster x, considering the reviews are great and it’s exactly what I’m looking for .... So my questions are ... 1. Will the indicators that are integrated in the tail light work off the bikes original indicator switch ? I only want the basics (no fancy flashing or anything) just straight swap indicators to work off original and also the hazard lights. 2. Is it necessary for me to buy the additional control switch ? I’ve no interest in mounting this item (defeats straight swap convenience) 3. Is it necessary for me to buy the additional flasher relay ? As this is internal wiring if it’s necessary to get original outcome I will get this item. Hope to get more info from you soon, I would love to make this modification to my bike.

Hello Colm, thank you for your interest in our products! Yes, our integrated tail light will function for turn signals using the OEM turn signal control switch. There is never any need to change the turn signal selector switch. The hazard function will work with our tail light as well, as long as the ignition is on. The Blaster-X Control Switch is only necessary if you wish to change the default settings of the tail light. or to use Strobe-Mode. I highly recommend you purchase the ELFR-1-H flasher relay as your OEM flasher relay will cause all blinkers to blink fast if you remove any of the OEM turn signals. This is the designed response of the OEM flasher relay, to alert you to a lamp failure. Once you change the flasher relay with ours, your blink speed will always be normal in the front and rear, regardless of what type of blinker lamps you install. I’ve just installed the blaster x on my 2017 CBR650F. The issue that I’m having is that the right blinker is constantly flashing at a fast rate. However Once I turn the indicator to turn right, the constant flashing then slows down to flash at a normal rate. What’s the issue here? It’s worth noting that I’ve also purchased the LED flasher relay from you guys also, but I’m waiting on my flush mounts to arrive so I only have to remove the fairings once. Will the led flashes relay fix my issue?

Hello and thank you for purchasing our products! It is a common mistake when installing Honda integrated tail lights to plug the turn signal wire into the license plate light plug on the motorcycle. The license plate plug has constant power, so it will keep the taillight blinking if plugged in there by accident. The turn signal connectors are blue and orange. Those are the connectors that the turn signal wires from our tail light should plug into.
