That's right!  The best just got better!  We have taken all of our customers comments and combined them to improve our product.  The new Custom LED 2001-2002 R6 Integrated tail light has MORE LEDs and has a uniform distribution of red and yellow LEDs to uniformly light the stock lens.

This is an integrated LED tail light retrofit of a stock 2001 or 2002 R6 tail light.  The internal workings of the factory LED tail light are removed and replaced with our Custom LED circuit board containing 60 Ultra Bright Red LEDs and 46 Ultra Bright Yellow LEDs.

The Red LEDs function as running and brake lights (dual intensity).  The yellow LEDs serve as the blinker!  That's right - you're totally integrated with this tail, no need for any other rear blinkers.  To prevent color mixing and to create a dramatic effect, the unit will flash between the Red and Yellow LEDs on the side you're turning - super bright, super colorful, super noticeable!

You can't even compare the brightness of this unit to the stock setup.  From the factory, you only get 20 LEDs in the stock tail compared to 106!  The LEDs you get with the Custom LED R6 Tail are the newest and brightest technology for LEDs.  The power draw increase is negligible due to a super efficient design on our part and the fact that LEDs are very efficient to begin with.

The image below shows how the tail looks while turning with the running lights on.  The tail functions exactly the same when the brakes are applied - except the RED LEDs become much brighter.  Please allow time for the image to load fully.

Note: the animated picture above is not of the new improved unit (0102R6_REV2) as you can see by the "square" layout of LEDs.  The new tails function the same except they are brighter and the whole entire lens is illuminated by the LEDs.

Circuit board installs into OEM tail light housing according to provided instructions.

 

The Custom LED 2001 - 2002 Yamaha YZF-R6 Integrated LED Tail Light retrofit kit must be installed into the OEM tail light.

There may be additional accessories required to correct blinker problems on your motorcycle if you remove your OEM turn signals.  These accessories could not be built into the tail light, and are generally optional and specific to different customers needs, so they are sold separately. Please see the recommended accessories above, and read about the general issues and solutions in our Frequent Questions Page.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Installation of this product requires that you remove the OEM tail light from the motorcycle for the retrofit kit installation.  Please consult a qualified technician or your repair manual for the proper procedure to remove the OEM tail light.
